Tracy Meyer, PhD, LCPC, NCC
Tracy Meyer, PhD, LCPC, CMNCS, CTS-I, CTS-II, ADHD-CCSP is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist, Certified Trauma Specialist (Levels I & II), and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. She specializes in helping teens and adults heal from trauma, including narcissistic and psychopathic abuse. Her approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and deep respect for your story and your pace.
Drawing from EMDR, somatic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Tracy integrates person-centered and trauma-informed care with functional nutrition insights to support both emotional and physical well-being. She also proudly provides affirming, neurodivergent-affirming care for ADHD and other forms of neurodiversity, creating a space where your full self is not just accepted—but celebrated.
Tracy became a therapist as part of her own healing journey and truly believes in the power of therapy to transform pain into strength. Since 2018, she’s had the privilege of walking alongside clients as they move from surviving to thriving. There’s honestly nothing else she’d rather do.
When she’s not in session, you can find Tracy camping, hiking, working out, or sipping on a really good cup of coffee (seriously—she loves coffee!).
Donald Boyd, Counselor-in-Training
Donald Boyd is a warm, gregarious, and compassionate counselor-in-training currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He brings a unique blend of life experience, professional insight, and a deep passion for helping others, developed through previous careers in Christian counseling, military service, and information technology. Across all these fields, one constant has remained: Donald’s love for connecting with people and listening to their stories.
Donald’s counseling approach is rooted in Christian values, empathy, and respect for the individual. He has over 15 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in both Christian and secular settings—leading youth groups, small groups, and adult classes. His current clinical interests include addressing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and personal growth. He utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), incorporating core skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Clients often describe Donald as cheerful, approachable, and easy to talk to. He believes, “It’s better to be cheerful and smile about the things you enjoy and love than to be preoccupied with the unpleasant things of life, which we all have.” His goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where individuals can explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies that support their overall well-being.
Originally from the metropolitan area serving Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, Donald is a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and exercising—his favorite ways to relax and recharge.
Donald is currently completing his internship at Mid Atlantic Counseling under the supervision of Dr. Tracy Meyer, PhD, LCPC, NCC. He offers low-cost counseling services through a hybrid care model, providing both in-person and virtual options to improve access and flexibility for clients.
